Matthew Lathrop
Matthew was born and raised in Austin, Texas and graduated from Westlake High School. Proud member of Westlake first football State Championship team in 1996 and during this time is when Matthew first met Carment. Next move was to College Station, Texas and graduating Texas A&M University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication with a Minor in Public Relations. During Matthew’s tenure at A&M, he was a dedicated member of the Aggie Football Team and spent his last two years of athletic eligibility as a member of the Texas A&M Rugby Club where he was selected as the first BIG XII Collegiate Rugby All-American. As a business professional, Matthew has 18+ years experience in Cloud-based technologies and project management which has afforded him the opportunity to work for two global leaders in technology: Rackspace Technologies and Microsoft.
Matthew is passionate about supporting the CK Youth Organization and has been a proud Board Member for 7 years and is currently serving as Board President. Having been trained by Carment as a high school athlete, Matthew's life has been dramatically impacted by Carment's teachings and his selfless attitude to help others succeed: in and out of the classroom. Carment's emotion, passion, empathy and coaching-style is infectious and has driven Matthew to a higher standard in helping others. Beyond work, helping the CKYouth Organization and some time at the rugby pitch and golf course, Matthew is trying to keep up with his toddler son and doting over his lovely wife.
